Hi My name is Owen. Born 22nd January 2005. I currently study Film & Broadcast Production at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, UK.

I am a budding and creative person who is interested in making it though the media, film & broadcast world. My biggest hobbies are politics and local history. Something that I’d like to combine one day with the creative aspect.

I am interested in doing work placements which are related to the kind of thing I am doing at University, such as media, photography and film and broadcast production. I don’t have particular roles I have in mind to pursue, but anything related to what I have said will do. One of my main career goals is to firstly graduate university with a degree under my belt and then I will deicide if I want to continue my studies and do a Masters or a PGCE.

I have been looking into online courses to do during the summer and/or during my time at University. One has sprung to mind when researching and it is called Social for Good and they offer a wide range of skills. With having plenty of testimonials, I think it’s safe to say they know what they are doing. This has enticed to enrol for over the summer tasks. One event that I am planning on going and having a look at is one called FACT which includes exhibitions, film screening, workshops and most importantly talks where you can actually get to meet like mined individuals and network with them, but most importantly scout out for placements and job opportunities.
